Description : This map celebrates the independent shops and businesses where global fashions have taken root. From modest Holts in Camden Town to psychedelic Hung On You in Chelsea there are more than 100 entries, spread across time and geography. The foreword is by Sir Paul Smith, whose own first shop in Floral Street features. The map is a collaboration with pop culture commentator Paul Gorman, author of The Look: Adventures In Pop & Rock Fashion, as well as books on Malcolm McLaren designer Barney Bubbles and retail pioneer Tommy Roberts.
About The Brand: "We started Herb Lester in 2010, making simple folded guides to the cities we love. We still publish these guides, and have gone on to expand our range, publishing books and a selection of products: notepads from fictional hotels; mini menu translators; playing cards with useful for phrases for travellers; tear-resistant luggage tags. It’s our intention to have a distinctive voice and follow our interests rather than respond to passing fashions. Everything we include in our guides and everything we do is because we like it and think our readers will too."
